Body movement is a class taught to all of the children. The class is a collaboration of music, movement, exercise and drama. The music selected for a particular number is always very unique and interesting. Manotick Montessori has been producing creative and dynamic stage presentations for their six years running. The children love the body movement classes. Our creative edge at Manotick Montessori gives the children the opportunity to express themselves dramatically.  Creative arts help the child to have a balanced education. It encourages self-confidence, and promotes self-awareness. The body movement classes are taught under the Montessori philosophy of providing an encouraging environment for creative growth, only if the child wishes to participate. We have never had any child to this day not want to participate in some way, shape or form, and we mean that literally. Shapes and forms are always showing up in body movement class.
